1.How long have you been interested in the paranormal?
My interest started many years ago. My childhood home had so many things happen that I could not explain.
2.What started this interest?
I would have to say that it peaked when my husband and son rented a shop and things were being moved around and I saw a man that appeared transparent smiling at me. From that point on I was hooked.
3.How did you become involved with Spook Central?
To make a long story short. I joined a group and it was not what I wanted, so my son created CCSC and been busy ever since.
4.If someone wants to get involved with Paranormal Research/Investigations, what would you suggest to them?
Well, I would say that you really need to have a passion for this field or you will burn out quickly. Keep in mind that it is hard work, not only do you investigate, but you may spend several hours doing research on the property that you investigated. If you are looking to join a group in your area, go to their web site, ask questions, attend meetings, research the group, how long have they been investigating, equipment, do they appear professional. If you are chosen to be a member of the group, always keep ownership of your evidence. Be careful who you get involved with. People can misrepresent themselves.
5.Any other comments? I have been in the paranormal for about 4 years and I enjoy what I do. It can be a lot of fun. What I have learned in this field is to always be honest, help others understand what they are going through. In this field you are a counselor, teacher and a friend. And above all, no drama. In this field I have been burned many times, I look at it as a learning experience and move on.
Top 5 places to investigate?
1. St. Augustine's Lighthouse
2. Waverly Hills Sanatorium
3. Bird Cage Theater
4. Eastern State Penitentiary
5. Lizzie Borden House
Most Memorable Investigation?
That is a tough one, I have done so many. But the one that stands out in my mind is a home that is not located in Corpus. I have been to this home 11 times and each time there is something new, it never disappoints you. Next would be the undisclosed hospital, it too has never disappointed me, love that place.
